Whats Next?
A common theme with the conclusion of the year usually ends with feelings of exhaustion, anticipation, and confusion. How did we survive the past year? Some of us haven’t even finished processing the years before. So with that what is next?
Break the Cycle
If we want to break the cycle we have to have action, however our actions need to be efficient and effective. Our actions can can come in many forms, working out, reading a book, cutting out distractions, or making a change. Equally important is setting S.M.A.R.T goals (small, measurable, attainable, relevant, timely) saying your going to go to the gym every day, however not impossible, but if you are starting from scratch it’s not realistic, setting a smart goal such as going to the gym 3 times a week for an hour, is measurable and easy to track, but we have to be efficient. How many gyms have you been to with staff that’s out of shape. It’s not just going to the gym, but we have to be efficient with our time. Spending time before to ensure you are working out effectively and safe is equally important.
I’m using the Gym/working out as an easy example to understand, but actions with SMART goals can be applied to all aspects of our life’s. Committing to therapy once a month, continuing education, or spending more time with family.
What if?
Whatever you choose to action this year, try asking your self, “What if? What if I commit to these actions and achieve my goals?”
2025 is the year we ask ourselves what if?
